On 22 May 2021, Munkhtuvshin Lkhagvadorj, the Governor of the 14th khoroo of Sukhbaatar district, visited artistic neighborhood, which was created during the Nogoonbaatar Eco Art Festival held at Uuliin Nuur Park.

Impressed with the immense changes made in dusty and dirty streets near the park and the artworks created inside of the park, the governor requested the project team to paint the backsides of the commercial buildings located in 7 Buudal of Sukhbaatar District.

The area was known as a meeting point for alcoholics, an unsafe and dangerous spot. Governor Munkhtuvshin believed that the violence and alcoholism in this place will be reduced significantly if all 220 meters long wall turns into artistic.

Artists Tuvshinjargal Tsend-Ayush, Soyolsaikhan Batsaikhan, Amarsaikhan Namsraijav and Munkh-Erdene Munkhzorig worked together and changed this gloomy corner into modern and colorful within six days.

Upon completion of painting, flowers were planted by workers of 14th administration unit. The project was supported by the chairman of the district Citizens’ Khural, Enkhbold Bukhchuluun. Later district government officials and residents said that the area has become much peaceful and pleasant.
