Upon completion of the creative neighborhood project in Uliastai area and on the opening of international artists residency, Nomadic Red Corner team organized Public Art Weekend at the Magic Land Community Development Center from 17 to 18 December 2022.
18 Mongolian artists, including Enkhbold Togmidshiirev, Ariuntugs Tserenpil, Batsaikhan Soyolsaikhan, Tuvshinjargal Tsend-Ayush, Munkhbolor Ganbold, Ariuntuya Jambaldorj, Munkhjargal Jargalsaikhan, Nandin-Erdene Budzagd, Onongua Enkhtur, Khongorzul Lkhamjav, Dulguun Baatarsukh, Baatarzorig Batjargal, Nomin Bold, Narbaysgalan Ulambayar, Munkhtsetseg Jalkhaajav and Chinzorig Renchin-Ochir, showcased their multidisciplinary contemporary artworks inside and outside of the Community Development Center.
In addition, a 400-meters long artsy street was open to the public and contemporary performance was held in that street involving 50 local children. Besides local community, project invited special guests, including artists, government official, delegations from German Embassy and Goethe Institute in Mongolia and other international agencies. Around 80 people attended the opening and 1200 people visited the exhibition and saw outdoor performance and installations during the weekend.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia and Goethe Institute in Ulaanbaatar and organized in collaboration with Magic Land Comminity Center at Uliastai.
