Mongolian Contemporary Art Support Association invites Mongolian and Mongolia-based artists to apply for 1-month residency at Nomadic Red Corner International Artist Residency located in Uliastai area of Bayazurkh district for the period 15 September to 15 October 2023.
Residency provides living and working space for selected artists, offers support for realizing their creative ideas and facilitates collaboration with local community and the Magic Land Community Center. Depending on the proposed ideas, 2-4 artists will be selected for the program.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS
– Artists working in the field of visual arts, photography, film, dance, music, and literature,
– No age limit,
– Willingness to work with the community,
ABOUT RESIDENCY
– The Residency is in the courtyard of the Magic Land Center in Uliastai, and consists of two gers with 3 beds each, kitchen, and a bus studio,
– The residency is equipped with internet, bed linen, pillows, blankets, towels, sink, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and all amenities necessary for living.
– Program will provide equipment such as speakers, projectors, media players, mixers and other items upon necessity,
SUPPORT FROM THE MAGIC LAND CENTER
– If artists are willing to implement art projects in the Uliastai area, Magic Land Center will provide support in terms of communicating with residents, especially youth,
– A free lunch will be provided for artists,
– Study and other rooms of the center can be used,
– Toilet, shower and washing machine of the center can be used,
– The library, outdoor basketball court and exercise equipment are available for use.
