ZULTSETSEG NARANTSOGT (MONGOLIA)

Born in 1992, Zultsetseg Narantsogt (Zula) is a Mongolian multimedia artist based in Ulaanbaatar. Zula studied monumental painting at the State University of Arts and Culture of Mongolia in 2010-2014, and graphic art at the Angewandte University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria in 2017-2021.

Zula’s artistic practice incorporates a variety of techniques, including drawings, graphics, printmaking, photo-based encaustic painting, and ceramics. Her works explore the underlying causes of her personal experiences as well as the relationship between humans and nature. Her ideas are often expressed through the elements of nature, where she juxtaposes abstract and real images.

Zula’s works have been exhibited in 4 solo exhibitions and over 30 group exhibitions held in Mongolia, Austria, Japan, Korea, and Germany.
