With the support from Goethe International Relief Fund 2021, international artist residency was established in October 2021, in the courtyards of the Magic Land 2, Community Development Center, located in Uliastai Ger district of Ulaanbaatar city. The residency compound consists of 3 Gers, which are traditional Mongolian dwelling. Residency Gers are beautiful and spacious, each has 3 beds, all kitchen amenities, sheets, towels, shelves and other necessary supplies for accommodating 6 artists in total. The residency design looks fresh and contemporary, includes traditional and modern elements. Restroom and shower are located inside of Magic Land Community Center.
The main goal of the Nomadic Red Corner – International Artist Residency is to bring art closer to the vulnerable groups of population resided in Ger Districts of Ulaanbaatar, through implementation of creative community development programs, by facilitating collaboration between local community and professional Mongolian and international artists.
